Each year, Rachel is invited to present at and / or attend SportNXT as an international representative of New Zealand sport, especially the women in sport movement. She leads a small delegation of specially invited NZ sports leaders across to Melbourne, Australia, at the behest of Global Victoria, the Victorian State Government’s trade facilitation and promotion agency.
Next year will be the fifth time, with past delegates including Sport NZ Group CEO Raelene Castle ONZM; NZ Major Events Manager at MBIE, Kylie Hawker-Green; President of NZ Football, Dr. Johanna Wood; Golf NZ CEO Jeff Latch; Netball NZ CEO Jennie Wyllie, Paralympics NZ CEO Fiona Allan, NZ Football CEO Andrew Pragnell, Sport NZ Commercial consultant, Hugh Henderson, and NZ Rugby’s Head of Women's Rugby, Claire Beard. SportNXT 2024 attracted 1,000 delegates from 21 countries representing over 400 businesses. The kiwi delegation joined approximately 50 leaders hosted by Global Victoria, with a focus on connecting with and building relationships with Victorian sports businesses.
